Rachel Green has been a style icon since 1994 and has been inspiring people ever since. Between her amazing hairstyles and influential style, it’s no surprise that a major fashion brand would use her as their inspiration. Just in time for the 25th anniversary of Friends, Ralph Lauren is coming out with their very own Rachel Green-esque workwear clothing line.
The collection is appropriately named “The One Where They Wear Ralph Lauren,” very fitting considering Rachel Green worked as a Ralph Lauren employee on the show. The collection will include various pieces from Polo and Lauren Ralph Lauren. Prices will range from $70 to $2,998, and you can see the collection for yourself at Bloomingdale’s in NYC.
The collection includes wool blazers ($295), pleated miniskirts ($398), a cashmere turtleneck ($248) and tons of other Rachel Green, fall perfect pieces. It will also include velvet jackets, plaid skirts- everything you miss and love from the ’90s, while still keeping in tune with Ralph Lauren’s iconic style.
“The collection is a celebration of the brand’s role in the series,” Ralph Lauren said regarding the collection. “Just as friends proved to be a perennial favorite series for viewers over the last 25 years, this collection reflects Ralph Lauren’s timeless styles and archetypes that have remained a go-to for the modern working woman.”
Ads for the collection made us miss our favorite Friends antics even more, with models posing at Central Perk, in the famous Geller apartment, and on the couch we all love and miss from the show’s intro song.
These pieces look like they’re straight out of Rachel Green’s wardrobe (and maybe even a little bit of Joey and Monica’s, too). So, if we start wearing this collection, will we magically get a friend group like theirs? I sure hope so.
