If you’re anything like me, you have a serious problem with letting go of old clothing. It doesn’t matter if I haven’t worn it in months, or it doesn’t fit anymore, or it’s just ugly, I’ll somehow find a way to convince myself to keep it. But there comes a time when you just need to suck it up and tell yourself that you’re NOT going to wear that dress from 2015 anymore. Plus, getting rid of things from your closet means there’s more room for new clothes. This is your annual friendly reminder to clean our closet and here are 4 outdated items you should seriously consider purging:
Free T-shirts
For some reason, it’s those old pointless T-shirts that I have the hardest time getting rid of. And even if you keep them just to wear to sleep, there’s no reason you need THAT many pajama shirts. It’s about time to go through your closet and get rid of all those old, free T-shirts you’ve acquired over the years.
Uncomfortable shoes
Yes, even that one pair of super cute heels you always swear you’ll wear and never do. Those need to go. Odds are, even if you keep the uncomfortable shoes, you’re not going to want to wear them if the pain is that bad. Style and comfort go hand in hand. Toss, give away or even sell those shoes online instead.
Old costumes
You might be tempted to hold on to old, random costume pieces “just in case” you’ll need them for the future, but you won’t. You probably won’t ever re-wear a Halloween costume, so clean out your closet and throw away those bunny ears.
Bridesmaid dresses
Because, honestly, when are you EVER going to wear it again? It might be hard to bite the bullet on this one, considering you probably spent a lot of money on it, but bridesmaid dresses are just something you don’t need in your closet. It’s time to say your goodbyes to this one.
