If you and I had our early 20s televised, chances are they would look like a low-rent version of Whitney Port’s first foray into adulthood. First she appeared on “The Hills” and then on her own MTV reality show “The City,” we watched her land a job at Diane von Fürstenberg, launch her fashion line Whitney Eve, and suffer through minor relationship drama with an Australian model. Four years after the show’s final season, things continue to fall into place rather nicely for her. Port has moved back to LA, focused on her fashion line, and is now planning for her wedding to producer boyfriend Tim Rosenman. We asked Whitney a few questions about her upcoming nuptials and style tips for any blushing bride, plus tips on how to fall in love at work:On meeting fianceé Tim Rosenman on the set of “The City”: He was an associate producer who started working in the middle of filming. The producers and the crew become really good friends, like part of your family. We were best friends first. On work romances: Crushes at work can be tricky and not necessarily appropriate. Just start with friendship first and naturally see how it progresses. On beauty tips for date night: My favorite beauty tip is less is more. Guys like natural beauty. When you’re going out to dinner, look how you really look. A touch of blush, a little bit of mascara or just do your eyebrows, which you really need to frame your face.On her #1 beauty tip: About once a week I wash my hair, put in a hair mask and then sleep with it up in a bun. It keeps it really healthy looking. On her favorite engagement stories: We’ve seen a ton of creative engagements as part of the WeddingWire #JustSaidYes campaign. My favorite has been on a man that proposed in the middle of a bridge! (The contest continues until February 20 – just follow, post a photo, and the winner will get sent on a mini-moon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.)On her wedding planning process: We want to keep everything low-key and fun. A one-stop shop like WeddingWire is great for reviews on wedding locations and vendors. On what’s next: My day job is my collection Whitney Eve. Beyond that, I’m planning the wedding!Q&A: Jennie Garth From “Beverly Hills 90210” Talks Great HairQ&A: Chilli From TLC on her Beauty Regimen
