Nothing’s quite as relaxing as a hammock (preferably with a fruity drink!) and with good reason it seems. A new study reports that swaying in a hammock will help you fall asleep faster—and sleep more soundly—than a bed or couch. In the study, Swiss researchers tracked the brain activity of a dozen men during a 45-minute nap on a bed and also a gently rocking bed that simulated a hammock. The coco cabana-esque group drifted off to sleep one minute faster and entered a deep stage of REM sleep three minutes faster, on average. Hear that, Pottery Barn? Fingers crossed for The Hammock, Home Collection!
