A recent study out of the University of Chicago looked at over 19,000 responses to a relationship survey and found that not only do many courtships take place online, but that couples who start out that way have longer, happier marriages. Though the study didn’t address the reasons for this success, the researchers speculate that it has to do with online daters’ strong motivations, the chance to screen people before going out and the sheer volume of love-seekers on the web.
