In a sour mood? Start snapping! Turns out snapchat may be the gateway to happiness, according to a recent study conducted by the University of Michigan. The researchers used “experience sampling” to gather information of 154 college students’ thoughts, emotions and behavior over a period of two weeks. They texted a survey the participants six times per day to assess their well-being. The results of the study showed that, other than in-person interaction, snapchat is the most rewarding interaction. The researchers speculated the emotional reward from using it may be due to the short life of snap stories, allowing users to worry less about their appearance or how others perceive them.
