Who do you think of when you hear the term “gamer”? If you immediately picture a guy, you’re wrong! A recent Pew Research Center study has broken down the numbers to show this stereotype is…well, a stereotype. In fact, 42 percent of American women are plugging in to unwind after a long day are women, whereas only 37 percent of American men do. Another surprise? Although we assume it’s the American youth, over half of 30-40 year olds (55 percent) are switching on their gaming systems after work.
