When it comes to sudsing up your sex toys, it’s easy to assume that a nice lather and warm rinse is enough. But newsflash: not all sex toys are the same! It’s important to know that hard plastic, jelly rubber, elastomer and TPR are porous — that means that, even after cleaning, they may still retain bacteria and/or STDs. Wash them with mild soap and water, drying well after cleaning and, if you’re sharing them with a partner, make sure to use a condom with them.
