Odds are you’ve suffered a sprain at some point in your life, whether it’s a sports injury, the result of some sky high heels, or you’re just accident-prone. But a sprained ankle may have more of an impact on your life than you think!
A recent study compared the steps of college students with healthy ankles versus those with chronic ankle instability (CAI). The students wore pedometers for a week to track their movements. Researchers found that the students with CAI walked over 2,000 steps less! This is troublesome as this may have a greater impact on physical activity levels as individuals age.
