If you were born in the summer, it’s more than likely your birthday parties involved splashing around in a pool, soaking up the sunshine and other fun activities. But it turns out that people who were born in the warmer months have another perk.
According to a recent study, women who are born in the warmer months are likely to have better health as they age! They found that sunshine children (June, July and August babies) were both heavier at birth and taller as adults than their frosty counterparts. They also found that girls born during these months also started their periods later, which is indicative of better health in adulthood. Researchers speculate this is due to the levels of vitamin D (via sunlight) that the mother is exposed to during pregnancy.
