Richard Simmons: Probably one of the most well-known fitness legends of the past 40 years is Richard Simmons. He launched his career in the 70s and turned 69 this year. These days, his empire includes countless books, DVDs and tracking systems. He’s also been battling rumors surrounding his health.
Jane Fonda: The actress Jane Fonda launched her career in the 80s as a fitness instructor. She is now a 7-time Academy Award winning actress and stays busy with all her acting projects.
Denise Austin: Remember Denise Austin Daily Workouts? Well, the former gymnast launched her fitness career in the 80s where she began co hosting “The Jack Lalanne Show”. These days, she’s still a fitness mogul operating her own line of fitness equipment sold exclusively at Rite Aid. She also runs a 10-week fitness program.
Billy Blanks: Remember the Tae Bo Fitness craze? It was a combination of Tae Kwon Do and boxing created by Billy Blanks. He made millions off of workout tapes during the 90s. These days he and his family still run their fitness empire.
