Hilary Duff, the mother of two-year-old Luca and star of upcoming series “Younger,” has been “killing it” (her words) lately in the fitnesss department and now she’s taken to Instagram in a bikini with a body-positive message for other moms. She sounds perfectly well-adjusted when talking about her post-baby body in a recent interview with ELLE.
I just tell myself, ‘I’m 5’2″, I’m really fit, killing it in the gym, and doing crazy things.’ I love to work out, but I’m just not that concerned with being the skinniest person. I’m not a model; I’m an actress. I always feel like I’m in the five to ten pound struggle, but my life is so busy. I’m just not that concerned, really. I’m normal and I’m perfectly happy being that way. Some weeks I’m like, ‘Man, my clothes are fitting so good’ and then some weeks I’m like, ‘I need to cut back on a few things,’ but that’s it. I don’t fall into the trap of having to be 110 pounds.
This must be one of those weeks when Hil’s clothes were fitting right.

Duff is also this month’s Cosmo covergirl. They got her talking about her divorce from Luca’s father, Mike Comrie, and she again sounds refreshingly normal. Duff said:
“I don’t want to sound bitter because I’m definitely not, but I don’t know if people are meant to be together forever. Things happen over a long relationship that you can’t always fight. A marriage of 20 years, the accomplishment of that must feel really great, but there are also huge sacrifices. I just always want to fight for happiness.”
Maybe we’ve found a new spokesmom?
