You tweeted recently about your body as well, that some fans were less accepting of your body when you weren’t wearing tight clothes. Do you think you get pigeonholed into wearing a certain style?
You know, my followers have to grow up with me. They have to respect that I’m growing. A lot of times, they say a lot of negative things when I’m wearing designer clothes because they don’t expect clothes to fit like that on me. Even though I’m small, I’m still very curvy. Chiffon things, things that are draped, silk, fit differently on my curvy body style. People don’t like it — they would rather see me in tight spandex bodycon dresses that are showing off all my curves. When I show something that hides my curves they all say that it’s too big. I wear a size 0. It doesn’t get any smaller. They just have to appreciate that I’m growing up, I’m trying new things, and I’m not always going to be in a Spandex dress.
So the criticism that you were getting was that what you were wearing was too big on you?
Yeah, every time I wear something that’s a high end designer, most of the comments are, “It’s too big, it doesn’t fit you right.” They always say everything is oversized. I think it’s because they’re used to things hugging my body. I don’t always want to show off my body. When I wear things that are a size 0, they say it’s too big.
It seems like every woman in the spotlight gets some kind of hate about her body these days.
Every woman, everywhere, has some sort of body dysmorphia. It’s just natural as women. I’m still the girl in the mirror pinching fat areas going, “Look at this. I can pinch it, it shouldn’t be there.” Everybody has their own form of insecurities. That’s just being a woman.

I’ve heard your makeup artist call you “picky.” Do you have any favorite beauty products?
I’m really particular about my foundation. I’m an avid sunblock user. My face is usually very pale and my body is usually very tan. My foundation usually has to be a little bit darker. Because I have really dry skin, it has to be moisturizing foundation. The foundation I found that I love the most is Giorgio Armani. People with oily skin shouldn’t use it, but it’s perfect for me because I always need a little oil.I always use matte makeup and I don’t like it matte — I like it to have a little bit of shine to it so that’s what I use when I do my makeup myself.
When I get my makeup done, I’m just picky about my eyebrows. I’m a big eyebrow person. I’ll invest all my money into eyebrow products. If it’s gonna give me amazing brows, I’ll spend the money.
And of course, can you tell me about Season 4 of “Basketball Wives LA”? Are you still filming?
Yes, I’ll be in the upcoming season and I’ve also been working on some films. I have a movie coming out in June. It’s the first film I’m actually acting in. We start filming next week and I’m really excited. I play a money-grubbing fiancée. It’s a young, fun part and I get to be a little evil and a little bit vindictive. I’m co-starring with Tatyana Ali, which is really exciting. I’ve always looked up to her.
