I’m apparently late to the lip crayon game, but this was my first time trying a non-gloss, non-stick lip shade. “Do there have to be technological innovations in everything??!,” I mumbled to myself as I greedily picked out not one but three of these Julep Lip Crayons and immediately used one before a friend’s birthday dinner. “Look at my lips!!” I said upon arrival, instead of “Happy Birthday!” My friends may hate me, but my lips sure did look great.Product: Julep Plush Pout Lip CrayonPrice: $20We Think:
How to Use: Plush Pout Lip Crayons come in four shades: Aurora Pink, Magenta Plum, Cardinal Red and Almond Nude. For the uninitiated, lip crayons work just like your standard lipstick, but I found them to be slightly trickier. The crayon comes to a thick point and goes on quickly and smooth, so paint your lips carefully. I’ve used my Julep lip crayons many times over the past two weeks and have already gotten better at knowing how the crayon works within my lip lines. Results: Julep Plush Pout Lip Crayon also has a moisturizing core in the middle, so bonus! The added moisture means it looked better over my chapped lips (whoops, northeastern fall) than my lipstick, which I’ve now learned is vintage and practically decrepit. Magenta plum was my favorite color I tried, a great deep purple look for fall or just goth vibes.I received Julep Plush Pout Lip Crayon as a sample and I would happily purchase myself.
