An official engagement announcement on the cover of Goop Magazine’s Sex & Love issue in January. A swank engagement party in April that Hollywood insiders thought might be a secret wedding. Finally, a private ceremony in the Hamptons that the bride’s mother, Blythe Danner, called “gorgeous — the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen.” Actress and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow, just turned 46, has married American Horror Story producer Brad Falchuk, 45. But who is Brad Falchuk? He met his future wife in 2010 on the set of “Glee” when Paltrow was guest starring.
Their romance surfaced back in August 2014 with rumors they were dating. The couple made their relationship public almost one year later in April 2015 at Robert Downey Jr.’s 50th birthday party. Gwyneth posted an Instagram photo to celebrate Brad’s recent Emmy win for his work as an executive producer on American Crime Story. It was his second Emmy Award.
If you listened closely during the Emmys, you heard Falchuk’s longtime producing partner Ryan Murphy, thank him and Paltrow during his acceptance speech. It was with Murphy, his good friend and Nip/Tuck creator, that Falchuk teamed to create the six-season hit show Glee.
Falchuk recently started producing Netflix’s The Politician along with Murphy and Ian Brennan, who wrote the original Glee screenplay. His latest FX project, Pose, is making news with the largest cast of transgender series regulars in American television history.
Together the newlyweds generate enough star power to attract a number of celebrity friends to their weekend nuptials at Paltrow’s Hamptons home. Paparazzi caught the arrival of actor Rob Lowe, pal Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden, Paltrow’s Avengers costar Robert Downey Jr., and comedian Jerry Seinfeld. Seinfeld played host for the couple’s rehearsal dinner at his nearby home. Director Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw, also attended.
Falchuk was married to television producer Suzanne Bukinik for 10 years and has two children from that marriage—son Brody and daughter Isabella. Isabella accompanied Falchuk as his date for the Emmy’s in 2016.
He serves on the advisory board of directors for Young Storytellers, a non-profit he co-founded along with Mikkel Bondesen and Andrew Barrett. The non-profit program has worked since 1997 to engage students’ creativity through the art of storytelling.
As a part of numerous projects as a producer, director, and writer, Falchuk has an estimated net worth of $20 million. Paltrow is worth an estimated $140 million of her own.
He makes Gwyneth very, very happy. She told ABC news back in May that, “It’s a very happy time, I have to say. I’m super-lucky in that I have these incredible relationships in my life. To feel that love and support…is really, really special.”
“It makes me cry every time.”
