If you’re a fan of HGTV’s hit show, “Fixer Upper” with Chip and Joanna Gaines, then you may have also heard recent rumors suggesting that the happy, quirky, and talented couple’s relationship is on the rocks. They got married in 2003 in Waco, Texas and as their lives continue to soar with a bestselling book, new home décor lines, and a hit TV show, it seems people want to group them in the same category as the other HGTV couple who called it quits, Tarek and Christina El Moussa.
Well, Chip Gaines isn’t having it. He took to Twitter in response to a story that published in Country Living Magazine about a rumored divorced. His response was priceless!
First, a fan tweeted, “I’m so sick of these ‘stories’ claiming @joannagaines and @chippergaines breaking up”. Soon afterwards, Chip replied with this – “Won’t ever happen … you can take that to the bank! #loveOfMyLife.”
This year makes 14 years since the couple wedded. The two have always made it clear that their relationship and family comes first – no matter how successful they become. Chip told People back in June, “Jo and I both made a commitment pretty early on that the two of us are the most important variable….Every now and then there are times when we notice we’re getting off track and have to regroup. But it’s like everything we care about, everything that’s important to us — we know it’s going to require work.”
That goes for any relationship.
