The Coronavirus is spreading quickly and people need help now more than ever. People across the nation and relief funds are in need of donations and celebrities are coming together in order to do so. In addition to hosting daily talk shows via Instagram and performing live concerts we can watch from the comfort of our couches, these various celebrities are giving back during these trying times:
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Everybody’s favorite power couple is at it again. Blake Lively posted on her Instagram that she and Ryan Reynolds donated $1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga’s cosmetics company, Haus Labs, posted they were donating 20% of its weeks profit to food banks in New York City and Los Angeles.
Kristen Bell
Both Kristen and her kids came together to donate $150,007.96 to No Kid Hungry earlier this month. “The reason the number is odd, is because when my kids overheard me making the donation, they asked if they could also donate the money from their piggy bank. I couldn’t have been prouder to add that extra, and important 7 dollars and 96 cents.” she said.
Jimmy Fallon
Earlier this month, Jimmy Fallon revealed on Instagram that he and his family donated funds to Feeding America. “Right now I’m thinking about what we can do to help our most vulnerable populations — children who are losing the one meal they may rely on per day, our friends and family who are facing job issues, the elderly, and low-income families,” he posted.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian
Both Kim and Kanye made separate donations to aid in Coronavirus relief. Kim is donating 20% of profits from her shapewear brand, Skims, to Baby2Baby’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Program while Kanye donated to the Dream Center in Los Angeles and We Women Empowered in Chicago.
Justin Timberlake
Justin posted on Instagram that he donated to the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis, TN. “This is a crazy time, but remember we’re all in it together,” Justin tweeted. “Every. little. thing. helps.”
Steph and Ayesha Curry
Steph and Ayesha Curry have their own foundation called Eat Learn Play, which made a donation to the Alameda County Community Food Bank and Feeding America.
Ciara and Russell Wilson
Earlier this month, the couple donated one million meals to the Seattle food bank Food Lifeline. “What we’ve decided to do is partner up with our local food bank in Seattle, Seattle Food Lifeline, and we’re gonna donate a million meals, hopefully make a difference.” they posted online.
