Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet are back at it again, but this time, they’re starring as Laurie and Jo in the 2019 adaption of Little Women.
Greta Gerwig, who directed the oscar-nominated movie Lady Bird, leads the 2019 adaption of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. Little Women is a classic book that so many grew up loving, and this adaption due to come out on Christmas has set our standards high.
The story follows the same plot as the film, featuring the lives of four sisters, Amy, Jo, Beth, and Meg, are respectively played by Florence Pugh, Saoirse Ronan, Eliza Scanlen, and Emma Watson. The four sisters live in Massachusetts during the Civil War era and, as we still do to this day, are trying to figure out their young lives.
This adaption comes after several in the past, in addition to various TV musicals, operas, and plays. This adaption features some of the most well-known actors to date, including Meryl Streep, Emma Watson, Timothée Chalamet, and Saoirse Ronan.
If you’re as excited as we are for this new film, check out the trailer. We’ll be patiently waiting until December.
