Everyone loves a good romance movie, especially when it features two actors you love. But, what happens when you discover all the heat you saw on camera was a hoax? As in, the two actors practically hated each other’s guts when the cameras shut off.
Check out this list of romance movies and the lead actors to see who really hated each other:
Jennifer Aniston and Jay Mohr in Picture Perfect: This 1997 rom-com might have been a smash hit to fans, but viewers would be surprised that Jennifer Aniston was a prick. According to Mohr, she really wanted her boyfriend at the time, Tate Donovan to be in the leading male role, so she was very nasty towards Mohr. So much so, that he’d go to his mom’s house and cry.
Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson in Vacancy: It is reported that Beckinsale was a complete drama queen towards Wilson during film. They disliked each other so much that they found as many ways as possible to not film together.
Richard Gere and Debra Winger in An Officer and a Gentlemen: Winger reported that Gere was “a brick wall”.
Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing: Swayze reported that Grey would have really silly mood swings. She’d even burst into tears if anyone criticized her.
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in the Notebook: It may be surprising to learn that there were a few instances where the two had a screaming match on set.
