Wondering what Olivia Jade Giannulli has been doing after this year’s earlier college admissions scandal and her mom, Lori Loughlin’s, trial? Thanks to her latest YouTube video, simply titled ‘hi again,’ Olivia Jade explains she wants to explain what’s been happening, but legally, she’s not allowed to. So, she just hesitantly tip-toes through a very long intro about how she can’t say anything, but she’ll be posting vlogs in the future.
Giannulli states despite not being able to sare everything and despite being terrified, she “want[s] to start taking smaller steps in the right direction.” That means she wants to produce more content and get back to being an influencer ASAP, which might not fly over too well with the general audience. Her Youtube channel’s 1.3 million fans seem to have stuck around, but commenters are not exactly thrilled at her return. “Yikes never thought I’d see her name come up in my feed again,” one commenter stated.
Her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty to fraud, bribery, and money laundering when they allegedly paid $500,000 to falsify their daughters’ college admissions papers. They are still fighting the charges in court, with the investigation being ongoing.
The rift between Olivia Jade and her parents is the only tense relationship the influencer had to deal with. When the scandal came to light, she lost most of her important deals, including Sephora and TRESemme.
“Moral of the story, I miss you guys, and I’m excited to start filming again.” She wants to “move on,” but “not in a selfish way.” The question is whether her fans and followers are willing to move on with her.
