Fun-loving, cool-girl Chrissy Teigen tends to be pretty open when it comes to sharing her personal life with husband John Legend. Her Instagram account is full of playful images of her cooking various dishes at home or engaging in a night out with her song-writer hubby. However, what it doesn’t show are the struggles the star has gone through behind closed doors.
Chrissy started a touching conversation on her new lifestyle show, FABLife, with co-hosts Tyra Banks, Joe Zee, Leah Ashley, and Lauren Makk. She opened up about hers and John’s troubles with fertility and how hard it is to constantly be questioned on when she’ll have children. “I can’t imagine being that nosy to be like, ‘So, when are the kids coming?’” Chrissy exclaims. “Because who knows what somebody’s going through?”
The 29-year-old model then went on to say that she and John have been trying to have a child for quite some time, but the whole thing has been much more difficult than they thought, US Magazine reports. “We’ve seen fertility doctors…We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it’s been a process,” she says.
Once Chrissy Teigen shared her own fertility issues, Tyra Banks was prompted to share her own difficult experience as well. “When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, in three years, you’re going to have kids. Then I turned 24, and then just every single year I kept saying that. After a while, it’s like, ‘Okay, I want to, but it’s not so easy,’” Tyra said tearfully.
