A decade of celebrity news means a whole lot of drama. A lot happens in 10 years and with the decade quickly coming to a close, we’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on celebrity drama of the 2010s.
So you know what that means- celebrity breakups.
To say the past decade broke my heart with the amount of surprising celebrity breakups would be an understatement. So just in case you’re in the mood to take a sad trip down memory lane, these are the most shocking (and upsetting) celebrity breakups of the 2010s:
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
The Twilight famous couple called it quits back in 2012. I guess it was never Team Edward OR Team Jacob, after all.
Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn
This singer-actor duo broke up in 2018 after nine months together, and their break up had fans in tears.
Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner
After a baby, a world tour, and a documentary, I was positive this couple could never be broken up. Well, looks like I thought wrong. The duo shockingly parted ways earlier this year.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid
The on-again-off-again couple called it off for good in 2018 when Gigi confirmed it on social media (although I’d love to see a reconciliation in the future).
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth
This. One. Hurt. The couple had been on-again-off-again for about 10 years before separating after just a few months of marriage. I was hopeful for a reunion, but it seems like both parties are happy without each other.
Bella Hadid and The Weeknd
So as far as we know, both Hadid sisters are ringing in the new year single. After Bella and The Weeknd got back together in 2018, they officially parted ways this past August.

With six kids together, who could’ve seen this one coming? The iconic couple parted ways in 2016 after four years of marriage.
