Singer, Ashanti has been making headlines lately as she’s been battling it out in court with her stalker. The guy named Devar Hurd is facing felony stalking charges after being accused of sending Ashanti several sexually explicit messages via Twitter. This isn’t the only time he’s been in trouble for harrassing the singer.
He was placed on probation in 2009 after sending her mom a photo of his crotch. According to reports, after being convicted a picture of him later surfaced of him posing in a picture with Ashanti’s younger sister.
Hurd is representing himself and was able to question Ashanti for 30 minutes about the Tweets he sent her (probably to his sickest delight). He then closed his argument by saying that he is no worse than Anthony Weiner.
According to this guy, “[Weiner] was in a situation like this where he sent sexually explicit tweets to six different women. No one came and ran down on him and arrested him. I didn’t even send no nude pics. I just talked some sexually explicit stuff from time to time. Why didn’t he get arrested for doing the same stuff?”
Will the jury buy this argument? Right now, they are in deliberation and are expected to have an answer soon.
