No stranger to posting solo shots on social media, Kylie Jenner posted an pic that has been receiving a ton of backlash over the weekend. The Kardashian little sis was accused of posing in blackface after posting a picture to her Instagram and Twitter in which “black lights and neon lights” were used to highlight the stars face, giving her quite the dark complexion.
According to TMZ, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star originally posted the pictures on Saturday night with the caption, “What I wish I looked like all the time.” People quickly spoke out against her photos so she removed the post, but later reuploaded them and wrote, “This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down.”

She further went on to deny blackface accusations by taking to Twitter and writing, “Yes, in another world I wish I could have pink hair & blue eyes & covered in sparkles.”
The photo debate drew enough controversy that it even caught the attention of Zendaya Coleman and Karrueche Tran. Zendaya, who recently was in the center of her own race-related controversy due to a few unfavorable comments by Giuliana Rancic on her look, seemed to show support for Kylie when she commented on the picture with a hand-clapping emoji. After fans called her out for supporting the image, Zendaya quickly reconsidered her support and took to Twitter to explain her previous stance, the New York Daily News reports.
At first, I saw more of an avatar look but thank y’all for keepin me on point….we all gotta stay aware of what image we project #lessons

Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend, also responded via Twitter to Kylie’s photo, saying “You’re beautiful just as you are girl @KylieJenner! The point is.. Nobody need to wish they look like anything.. We are all individually beautiful in our own way. Keep that s— positive.”
