I’ve been getting more into highlighting as winter descends upon us. While my cheeks are red from wind chill, I can at least add some highlighter and bronzer and pretend I just got back from a day at the beach . The Flower Highlighter Chubby, an illuminating highlighter, was just the color I needed.

How to Use It: Walmart’s web site — which excluisvely sells Drew Barrymore’s Flower makeup line — recommends Glisten Up for “cheekbones and eyes, including browbone.” I mostly used it as a highlighter on top of my foundation for tinting my cheekbones. I loved the glow and slight shimmer. I started with two quick swipes on each cheek and found myself using more as the week went on.
How it Looks, How it Feels: The shimmer highlight is light your face and a great compliment to a foundation or alone. I tried using it on my undereyes, but the shimmer makes it ideal for places where you want to draw attention — your cheekbones and browbones, exactly like the package states (classic me, trying to break the rules.)
Results: I’m now up to four swipes on each cheek and I look like I just got back from Miami. Which is a good thing: my whole family lives in Miami and its where I’m the happiest.
