Razor burn, or itchy rashes or bumps, occur from shaving dry skin; not using enough shaving cream; or shaving too hard, fast, or close. When you shave, you remove skin cells as well as hair and shaving too hard or fast creates cuts in the skin’s surface. These cuts allow bacteria to enter.
