Step 2: Hold shape with a water resistant brow gel.
Benefit’s Gimme Brow is a miraculous product in every type of weather, but I can vouch for its staying power even in the sweatiest of situations. I’ve put this stuff on in the morning, worked a full day, then gone outside to take a run on the hottest, muggiest Tennessee summer day, and when I got home my brows still looked flawless. Like I said: miraculous. After filling in your brows with pencil, brush some Gimme Brow through your brows to define the shape and build volume. This product also works great on its own for more natural looking brows, but I like to layer it with pencil for obvious reasons (obvious reasons = Cara Delevingne).
Step 3: Set them with a bit of powder.
This is a trick I originally learned to keep lip color in place, but I was excited to discover it works equally well as a finishing touch on eyebrows, and in the summer, it’s my saving grace. Just dip a large makeup brush (a dome-shaped one like this works great) in a bit of powder — you can use your regular face powder or get a setting powder for this specific purpose — then tap to shake out excess. Apply a very light dusting of powder over your finished brows, and you’ll see a huge difference in how long they stay put.
Nice try, sweat, but my brows aren’t going anywhere!
