Platinum hair, electric blue eyeliner and a bare booty are heating up newsstands thanks to Rihanna’s newest magazine cover. Bad gal RiRi channeled sexy retro vibes on V Magazine‘s 95th issue, where she’s featured wearing an aqua bikini and very close to nothing else.
Rihanna’s V photoshoot has her partaking in numerous warm weather activities; eating a popsicle, sitting in a pool, and even lazing poolside with a bright yellow, furry blanket to accompany her lack of bathing suit. If that isn’t just bursting with “summertime fine,” than I don’t know what is.
But it’s her ’60s girl-group hair and makeup that make the shoot truly mesmerizing. The blue eyeliner and platinum blonde hair just scream “look at me.” This is the blondest we’ve ever seen the pop star and we’re digging it.
This fun shoot comes only a few months after another time period-esque cover shoot. Rihanna recently graced the cover of i-D Magazine, on which she rocked dark lip liner and thickly plaited hair in a ’90s-inspired shoot.
With her eighth studio album debuting this year, Rihanna’s multiple magazine covers are an exciting prelude to her upcoming new music. We’ve already heard a few killer songs like, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” and “FourFiveSeconds,” which will both be on the new album. Via the Huffington Post, Rihanna told V Magazine, “The album is soulful and aggressive, whether it’s lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice.”
Although Rihanna’s album release date is still unconfirmed, we’re definitely looking forward to it’s big debut. It’s sure to have as much edge and attitude as the cool-girl style she’s been sporting lately
