I’ve tried hundreds of lipsticks in my life, but the Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Cecile will always be my favorite every day lip color. It’s super moisturizing, more so than some chapsticks I’ve used, so I’m never afraid of flaking or dry lips after applying it, and it’s universally flattering for any skin tone!

2Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color
My favorite lipstick is Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color in Tawny Pink. Don’t be fooled by the name; it is the perfect mauve shade — not too dark, not too light — and provides just the right amount of pop for my fair skin. The lipstick is matte so it stays put, but it’s also creamy so it doesn’t dry out your lips like most matte lipsticks. It’s my go-to day-to-night lipstick.

3Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil
My favorite of all time is actually a lip pencil that kind of acts as a lipstick. I love Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, which provides the rich texture of lipstick with the much-easier application process of a pencil. It makes wearing bold colors so much easier because the thin tube lets me decide exactly where it goes! It also has ridiculous staying power — I have watched this stuff hold up through an entire workday, then dinner, then drinks, then dessert and still look polished in pictures! I especially love to wear it in Dragon Girl, a red shade far brighter than I usually wear that makes a big statement.

4Ilia Beauty Lipstick
My favorite lipstick is Ilia Beauty’s Femme Fatale. I love it because it is so smooth, it doesn’t dry my lips, and it lasts forever! I don’t like to wear colors that are too bright and this shade fits the bill – it blends perfectly with my skin and it is bold without being too flashy.

5Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel
My favorite lipstick is Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in Eat Cake. This lipstick is one of the few and proud that stayed in my purse from spring to summer. It’s part of MJ’s nude collection, but the rosiness adds enough of a pop of color that you don’t feel naked like you do with some sheer lip shades. It’s moisturizing, so I love wearing it in the mornings – subtle color + added lip health. And since the color isn’t too intense but not quite an on-trend nude, it’s perfect for when you can’t quite choose what to wear.

6Dior Addict Lip Glow
I am obsessed with Dior’s Lip Glow. It enhances whatever your natural lip color is so you can rest assured that your lips will be the perfect shade for you. It’s super moisturizing and also has SPF so I wear it as a lip balm. It lasts for many hours but I find myself reapplying throughout the day anyway because I just love how it feels! The color I use is called Sheer Pink. I have my always-classy mother in law to thank for turning me onto this lipstick.
