Apparently, L’Oreal is in desperate need of a human skin. Yes, you read that right. According to Bloomberg Business, the global beauty conglomerate has partnered with a bioprinting startup called Organovo to work on 3D printing real, live human skin.
Why does L’Oreal need so much human skin, you ask? It’s actually way less creepy than it sounds: they hope to use human skin to test new products for toxicity rather than on animal test subjects.
