What are 50 selfies of Lady Gaga worth? An entire advertising campaign, according to Shiseido. The Japanese beauty brand tapped Mother Monster to take 50 pics, which will run in regional newspapers. According to WWD, a full 46 of the ads will be released in Japan only on January 1. Other brands have tried out the selfie campaign route this year, from Calvin Klein’s #MyCalvins to Pizza Hut’s “Shelfie,” wherein Pizza Hut customers posed with a cardboard cutout of Blake Shelton (no comment.)
Japan, get ready, because if we’ve learned anything from Lady Gaga’s Instagram, girl can take a selfie. Hopefully her partner in crime Tony Bennett makes an appearance.
