It’s that time of year again! Fall is filled with Pumpkin Spice Lattes, cute leather jackets, and most importantly, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Whether you’ve been personally affected by the disease or not, you can use your purchasing power to avoid the unhelpful pink-washed products that don’t actually give back, and support the brands that actually want to make a difference.
So, we rounded up up a few beauty products that are donating to the cause this month, whether through a percentage of proceeds, a lump sum, or giving actual product to women battling the disease. And remember to regularly check your lady lumps (BreastCancer.org has instructions for how to perform a self-exam) for anything that feels irregular!
1June Jacobs Rapid Repair Healing Cream
June Jacobs, the founder of the June Jacobs Spa Collection, suffered from radiation dermatitis while undergoing treatment for breast cancer herself. After going through such a hardship, June was inspired to create this therapeutic healing cream to help soothe severely irritated skin and protect the epidermis against environmental free radical exposure. During October, 25% of the net proceeds from every June Jacobs product will be donated to The Anne Moore Breast Cancer Research Fund. //June Jacobs Rapid Repair Healing Cream, $60
