Warm weather comes with blue skies and rippling waves. And for those of us with curly hair, our locks should ripple just as much! But, just like a sun burn, hair issues crop up. Have that one strand of hair that stays straight? Or that patch of hair that’s wrapped in frizz? Well, there are ways to calm the commotion and keep your wavy hair primped and polished for any adventure summer brings ashore.My summertime regimen is to wash and condition as normal with Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner. Then I apply mousse while scrunching up the waves. On days when I’m in a hurry, I will blow dry with a diffuser after applying heat protection spray. Most often, though, I just let it air dry. Now this oil is no secret, but I’ve found that for beachy summer waves, this is a must have. I apply only a tiny amount underneath my hair first, very lightly of course, before moving to the top layer. The shine and smoothness of my waves really impressed me the first time I used it.
