Every once in a while we all experience the hair day from hell. Whether it’s frizziness, dryness, oiliness, or a style that just wont turn out right, nothing can shake your confidence or put you in a bad mood quite like a bad hair day can.
The best way to eliminate those bad hair days is to do some prep work the night before. Proper preparation can make all the difference. The following advice will help you to eliminate bad hair days.
Satin Pillows – Sleeping on a satin pillow case as opposed to a cotton one will prevent frizziness and tangles. It also helps to lock in moisture and shine.
Night Time Hair Mask – Once a week, apply a mask and sleep on it through the night. You can use a store bought mask, or you can make your own by mixing 1 Tbsp of mayonnaise, avocado, olive oil, and honey. Be sure to sleep with a shower cap on so you don’t ruin the pillow.
Don’t Sleep With Wet Hair – Wet hair is weaker than dry hair, so you don’t want to sleep on it wet at night. Try to keep it in a braid.
No Elastic Bands – Don’t use hair ties before bed at night. This pulls the hair and can cause hair loss. Another option is to cut the leg off a pair of panty hose and tie your hair up with it.
Scalp Massage – Giving your self a scalp massage boosts your overall hair health. Gently rub your scalp with your finger tips and enjoy the relaxation it creates.
