If anyone can turn a neck tattoo into high fashion, it’s the fashion industry’s goth princess, Cara Delevingne. The British supermodel showed up at last night’s Met Gala in a Stella McCartney pantsuit, accessorized with two full sleeves of tattoos that extended through her chest and neck. The word you’re looking for is damn.

The plum tree design of her ink was likely inspired by the 2015 Met Gala’s theme, “China: Through the Looking Glass.” As Refinery 29 points out, plum blossoms are seen often in Chinese art. Plus, they represent resilience and perseverance in Chinese culture – something celebrities could use a dose of when they face the 255 photographers and reporters that were invited onto the Met Gala red carpet.

According to People Style Watch, Cara’s (fake) tattoos were custom-created by celebrity tattoo artist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy, who has already tattooed the model more than a dozen times. This is the man responsible for writing the word “BACON” in actual, permanent ink on the bottom of her foot.

Clearly, Delevingne was feeling herself last night (Not that you can blame her). But we gotta love the girl for holding down her ink-inspired goth vibes in this model-heavy selfie taken by Behati Prinsloo, with pals Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Lily Donaldson, Kendall Jenner, Alexander Wang, Bella Hadid and Zoë Kravitz. Of course, that selfie was against Met Gala rules, so maybe she was just scared of getting caught by Anna Wintour.
