1. Remove Makeup
We are told time and time again to remove all makeup before bed. Yet after a late night and a few drinks, we’re all guilty of saving this task for the morning. Sorry, but this is one essential step to never skip! Take off all your eye makeup before bed, so you can avoid not only eye infections but also clumped, sticky lashes. Try Talika Lash Conditioning Cleanser for an oil-free cleanser that easily removes waterproof makeup while simultaneously conditioning lashes. Just make sure that you don’t roughly rub or tug on your eyes (come on people, it’s called wrinkle prevention).

2. Take a Hiatus From Your Curlers/Mascara
Release the death grip on your eyelash curler since it can greatly weaken your lashes, or even painfully pull some out! It’s important to take a hiatus from the curlers and mascara sometimes. Your lashes will thank you.
3. Use Vaseline to Moisturize
Coat lashes with Vaseline each night before bed. This silky formula will moisturize dry, fragile lashes, allowing newer lashes to become stronger and in turn, prevent future breakage. This cost-efficient treatment can be applied with fingers, or with a clean, unused mascara wand each night (only one coating is necessary!).
4. Spring for a Lash Treatment
Here’s three options:
RevitaLash Advanced, $98 – Using biotin, green tea extract, peptides and antioxidants obtained from plants, RevitaLash strengthens and conditions eyelashes for an enhanced, healthy, feathery feel while also defending against daily irritants.
Latisse – This prescription treatment aids in thickening and darkening lashes. In a clinical study conducted by Latisse, 78% of participants felt they had a significant increase in length, fullness and darkness of lashes.
RapidLash Eyelash & Eyebrow Enhancing Serum, $50 – Clinically proven to enrich and strengthen lashes, RapidLash is a good option for those who simply want stronger lashes that are resistant to breakage.
