Every year, it’s a tradition that Barack Obama shares his summer playlist. In addition to music, at the end of every year, he also shares his favorite books, movies, and TV shows. And if Obama recommends it, we obviously already know it’s going to be good. This year’s playlist includes several artists who will also perform at the Democratic National Convention, which just started on Monday night. This year’s performers include Billie Eilish, Maggie Rogers, Common, John Legend, Leon Bridges, the Chicks, and Billy Porter- all of who have a spot on Obama’s list.
“Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer—including songs from some of the artists at this week’s @DemConvention. Hope you enjoy it.” Obama wrote on Twitter.
The well-anticipated list is finally here. There’s no better way we’d rather celebrate the last few weeks of summer than with Obama’s favorite songs. Here are some of our top hits on his list:
“Texas Sun” by Khruangbin and Leon Bridges
“Don’t Walk Away” by John Legend feat. Koffee
“Love You For a Long Time” by Maggie Rogers
“For What It’s Worth” by Billy Porter
“Savage (Remix)” by Megan Thee Stallion feat. Beyoncé
“12.38” by Childish Gambino feat. 21 Savage, Ink, and Kadhja Bonet
