Everyone isn’t built to be an employee. In fact, more and more people are leaving jobs behind to go work for themselves. This was almost unheard of a few years ago, but with the advancement of technology and increased levels of specialized skills, it’s becoming more and more acceptable. 1 – You loathe taking orders: For some people, it’s extremely nagging to have someone over their shoulder barking orders at them. If you’re that person, then you should probably go and work for yourself. That way you can do things on your own terms without a manager infringing on your work style.
2 – You love making money: When you work for yourself, there’s unlimited opportunity to make money. As long as you can come up with ideas and execute them, you can make money. Whereas, if you’re working a traditional job, there’s a cap on how much you make.
3 – You’re a risk taker: If you’re okay with trying something new and following your ideas, then you should probably be self employed. There are plenty of people who aren’t as daring or willing to take risks. Those people should stay under the comfortable umbrella of an employer. You on the other hand, will fair well being self employed.
4 – You thrive on flexibility: When you work for someone else, you have to adhere to their rules and hours. When you work for yourself, the motivation shifts. Even though you’ll probably work longer hours, you still have flexibility on when you get things done.
