New York Fashion Week is routinely one of the busiest, and most fabulous times of the year. Although NYFW S/S 2016 has already come and gone (that felt quick!), we’re still reeling at the beautiful makeup, hair and nail creations that some of the best experts in the biz created to accompany all the high-couture outfits. We picked a few of our favorite beauty looks from the past week, take a look!
1Banana Republic
The prettiest, peachy colors from Stila Cosmetics were used to make the eyes and cheekbones pop in the Banana Republic presentation. Using this light-colored eyeshadow allowed makeup artists to show off each model’s thick, dark lashes.
2Rodarte
Lead makeup artist James Kaliardos for NARS Cosmetics gave each model a youthful, dewy glow with minimal eye makeup for the RODARTE SS’16 show.
3Public School
Grace Lee from Maybelline New York opted to recreate the cut outs in the Public School SS’16 collection by adding slashes of white and black to each model’s eye look.
4Mara Hoffman
Inspired by Willie Nelson, this lengthy, double braided style was created for the Mara Hoffman show with the help of label.m haircare.
5Betsey Johnson
Stylists used Sexy Hair products to create this retro, beehive updo that perfectly matched Betsey Johnson’s fabulous and fun Spring collection.
6Jonathan Simkhai
Giving off an urban, bohemian vibe, models strutted down the runway with a low, romantic bun created using Catwalk by TIGI products.
7Jill Stuart
Showing off Jill Stuart’s classic cool-girl style, lead hairstylist James Pecis used Oribe Hair Care to create this low key look that nicely complemented the bold eye makeup.
8Alexander Wang
A shaggy fringe and the no makeup look (only the NARSskin Luminous Moisture Cream was used!) gave the Alexander Wang models a raw, street vibe.
9Thakoon
An effortless, textured hairstyle was the chosen look for the Thakoon runway show this past week. Hair was swept to the side with a bit of smoothing cream to give the hair a “blown back” look.
10Kate Spade
Hairstylists used Fekkai products to create a slick ponytail for the ultra-flowery Kate Spade Presentation.
