As a renowned actress, mother of two, and successful entrepreneur, Jessica Alba is one powerhouse of a celeb. Alba began her acting career at age 12, grew into some sexy movie roles, and today, she’s officially transformed into quite the successful business woman.
Alba launched The Honest Company in 2011 and only four years later, the company is estimated to be worth around $1 billion dollars. Impressive, right? That’s not all– Alba just released Honest Beauty, a stunning makeup and skincare line created to celebrate diversity and promote naturally-based products. “Our customers wanted a beauty line so badly… we’re at a place in our business at Honest Company where I could utilize some of our resources and technology for us to go off and do a completely separate business,” said Alba.
What better person to speak with than Jessica Alba herself about how to conquer it all, and look good doing it? We spoke with the actress-turned-business woman at the launch of Honest Beauty in NYC, and she gave a few good tips for how to juggle your busy life all while looking great.
Keep a few core beauty products in your bag for quick touch ups. “My favorite touch up on-the-go products are definitely the Honest Beauty concealer duo, a crème blush, and either the lip gloss or the lip crayon,” explains Alba. “I apply midday to make me look fresh and awesome.”
Workout with a friend. Whether you’re looking to slim down or trying to keep your health in check, Alba recommends getting yourself an exercise buddy to ensure that you squeeze in a workout even on your busiest days. “It holds me accountable and I feel like I push myself more when I’m with my friends,” she says.
The star definitely has a point. Not only are you getting some quality bonding time with your bestie, you’re getting a workout in as well. And don’t even get me started on the beauty benefits of exercise…talk about a natural glow!
Know when to slow down. As Jessica reminded all of the attendees at her NYC launch, “we’re all so busy these days, so it’s important to take this night as an opportunity to grab a glass of Rosé, finally relax, and enjoy yourself!” As Audrey Hepburn once said, “happy girls are the prettiest girls,” and she’s right! We’ve been told time and time again that everyone’s best accessory is a smile, but this is easily forgotten when you’re constantly in a rush. Jessica knows that a key part of looking attractive is feeling happy, and one must know when to slow down and enjoy the little things.
