Think feeling bad about your body is something you’ll grow out of? The stat above comes from a UNC study of 1,789 women across the country that examined self-image after midlife. The results also found that the majority of those women who are content with their body size still aren’t happy about other aspects of their physical appearance, like their stomach, face or skin. To tone down the body hatred, take note of your critical thoughts and ask yourself, “Would I say this to a dear friend?” If the answer is no, you shouldn’t say it to yourself, either.
